And a general town meeting the 5 of December 1682 Capt. Dixey, Ensign Corning, Deacon
Woodberry, Mr. Wm Dodge sen., Mr. John Raymond sen. and Mr. John Dodge were chosen to be
joined with the Selectmen as a committee to seat the inhabitants of the town in the new meetinghouse.
Received of Joseph Herrick on the eighth of December 1682:twenty shillings in money upon
the account of the new meetinghouse 1 £ – 00s.
Received of John Bachelder upon the same account in money the sum of 2 £ – 10s.
