1679-11-03[Town Meeting November 3, 1679] At a general town meeting the third of November 1679 Capt. Dixey, Sergeant Hill & Paul Thorndike were chosen to attend at the County Court next at Salem to endeavor the settlement of the estate given by Capt. Lothrop to the town. At the same town meeting November 3d: 79 Mr. Hugh Woodberry was chosen to serve on th the jury of trials at the next County Court to be held at Salem 25 of this instant. At the same town meeting November 3d: 79 it was agreed and ordered by the town vote that the town and country highway shall be made and maintained by town rate and the surveyor shall keep a true account of mens work & wages allowing to no man above 2 s. per day & 6 s. per day to a team.
