1679-12-04[Town Meeting December 4, 1679] th At a General Town meeting on the 4 day of December 1679 it was voted and agreed upon that the matter in controversy between Captain Richard Moore and us about the bell hanging in Beverly meeting house should be prosecuted to effect at the charge of the Town. At the same Town meeting Lieut. Paul Thorndike, John Dodge sen. & William Raymond were chosen to assist the selectmen in prosecuting of the abovesaid matter concerning the bell. It was also voted at ye same town meeting that Andrew Elliott was chosen to prosecute the matter with the three gentlemen about the bell in controversy.
