At a general town meeting the first of the 7 month 1674

Chosen & fully empowered by the town to appoint and lay out where they shall think fit three
acres of land out of the town Common to David Perkins which the said David Perkins is to have &
enjoy as his own so long as he shall continue a smith in & unto the town but if the said Perkins
remove & leave the town then the aforesaid land is to return to the town again.
