The Selectmen with the consent of the town having to dispose of Joshua Farland, have with
and by his consent put him a Covenant servant unto John Hill for one-year ensuing to do him true and
faithfully service during the time & not to absent himself by day or night without his master’s license
& to obey his commands and all things lawful & honest & for his neglect of duty to have correction
according & hereunto the said Joshua have set his hand & the said John Hill he endeavoring to keep
him in a working away shall supply him with things necessary as food & rayment according to the
agreement with Exercise Conant & at the end of the term to consider him.
