At the legal meeting of the Inhabitants of the Town of Beverly November 2 1780 Joseph Wood &
Asa Leech was chosen to serve on the Grand Jury at the Superior Quarter of Judicature Court of
Assize and General Goal Delivery to be holden at Salem on the first Tuesday of November instant
and Capt. Nicholas Thorndike, Capt. George Dodge, Lieut. Samuel Cole & Mr. William Taylor was
appointed as the law directs to serve on the Petit Jury at the above said court.
