At a Meeting of the Inhabitants of the Town of Beverly July 12 1779.

The address of Congress was communicated and thereupon voted to return their most humble and
party thanks to the Honorable Congress for their most spirited address to the Inhabitants of the
United States and that they will at all times do all in their power for the compliance with the same.
The proceedings of the Town of Boston together with their Circular Letter being read Mr. Joseph
would and Capt. George Cabot have appointed delegates for the Town of Beverly to meet at the
Convention proposed an appointed by the Committee of Correspondence etc. of the Town of Boston

to me at Concord on the 14 of July next for the purpose of forming such arrangements and adopting
such measures as shall be necessary to carry into effect by common consent the important objects
before us.
