At a legal meeting of the Inhabitants of the Town of Beverly July 16 1777.
Col. Henry Herrick was chosen Moderator.
It was put to vote to see if the Town will give their consent that one or more classes should be
inoculated with the small pox at present and it passed in the negative.
Voted that those persons that break out with the small pox in the natural way for the future shall be
removed to Dr. Woodberry’s house.
Meeting dissolved.
