1774-06-07 Juror selectionth At a legal meeting of the Freeholders and other Inhabitants of the Town of Beverly June 7 1774 Benjamin Obear was chosen to serve on the grand jury at the Superior Court of Judicature and Court of Assize and general goal delivery to be holden at Ipswich in the County of Essex on the third Tuesday of June instant and Lieut. John Dodge and Capt. Thomas Davis were appointed as the law directs to serve on the Petit Jury at the said court also at the same town meeting John Lovett 4th Lt. Conant Thomas Woodberry and Richard Obear Jr. was appointed and chosen as the law directs to serve on the Petit Jury at the Court of the General Sessions of the Peace and Inferior Court of Common Pleas to be holden at Salem on the second Tuesday of July next in and for the County of Essex.
