1856-11-06 PerambulationBeverly and Wenham. We the subscribers, Selectmen of the towns of Wenham and Beverly, in the County of Essex, have this day met and perambulated the line, and renewed the boundary marks between said towns, Beginning at a stone set in the wall between the lands of John Baker’s heirs and Paul Porter marked o W. B. D. thence on a straight course South 71 30' East to a stone said in the ground in said Porter’s o W. B. orchard marked thence South 80 30' East to a stone set in the ground called Alford’s Stone, W. B. in land of Charles Brown marked ; thence to a stone set in the ground on the westerly side of W. B. the county road opposite the wall between lands formerly of John & Charles Dodge marked ; W. B. thence to a stone set in the ground marked in land of heirs of Jacob Dodge; thence to a stone set on the south side of the highway by the wall of Richard Dodge a few rods easterly of said Dodge’s W. B.W. B. house, marked ; thence to a stone set in the ground marked near Larcom’s Corner; W. B. thence to a stone set in the ground on the east side of Longham Meadow marked , thence to W. B. a stone set in the ground the south side of the road against land of Peter Corning marked W. B. thence to a stone set in the ground the Easterly side of Raccoon Marsh (so-called) marked ; W.B. thence to a stone set in the ground by wall of George Standley marked ; thence running W. B. Northerly to a stone set in the ground on Gravelly Ridge marked ; thence more easterly to a W. B. stone set in the ground at the corner of Preston’s field, marked ; thence in a straight line from W. B. M Preston’s Corner, to a stone set in the ground marked . which is the bounds between Wenham, Beverly and, Manchester. Witness our hands this sixth day of November, A. D. 1856.
