1864-11-09 Election results Commonwealth of Massachusetts At a meeting of the Town Clerks of the towns of Wenham, Beverly and Topsfield said towns comprising the Third Representatives District of the County of Essex, held at the Town Clerk's office in Beverly on Wednesday the Ninth day of November A.D. 1864 at 12 o'clock noon to examine and compare the transcripts of the Records of votes in said towns for Representatives for said district in the General Court, said transcripts were examined and compared, and the votes for said Representatives were for the following persons, viz. John I. Baker of Beverly, one thousand seventy-nine votes 1079 Charles H. Odell of Beverly, one thousand seventy-six votes 1076 Charles F. Dodge of Beverly, one hundred ninety eight votes 198 Charles Herrick of Topsfield, one hundred ninety-five votes 195 Joseph Wilson of Beverly ten votes 10 George W. Lee of Beverly nine votes 9 Luke Morgan of Beverly, four votes 4 Benjamin E. Cole, Josiah A. Haskell, James Hill, Augustus A. Galloupe, & William Endicott two votes each 10 Thomas H. Prime of Salem, Henry E. Woodberry, J. Appleton, T. Haskell, Charles H. Lovett, John E. Davis, Josiah R. Lee, David Symmes, John Nichols, John G. Smith, W. D. Crosfield, Isaac Appleton, Robert Whipple, Adoniram Goodhue, William Baker, Joseph Odell, F. W. Choate, Israel F. Lee, R. R. Endicott, Joseph Thissell, George Woodberry and Andrew Dodge of Wenham, one vote each 22 And John I. Baker of Beverly in Charles H. Odell of Beverly having the largest number of votes were declared elected, and certificates of their election were duly issued according to law. Attest.
