1862-04-07 Commonwealth of Massachusetts Essex, ss. To one of the Constables of the town of Beverly. Greeting. You are hereby requ'u'ed in the name of said Commonwealth to notify and warn in the usual manner the qualified voters of said Town to meet at the Town Hall on Monday the Seventh day of April next at One o'clock afternoon for the following purposes, viz.:- 1st. To decide the manner of choosing a Moderator, and to choose the same. 2d. To take into consideration the revision of the Bylaws and Regulations of the town, and take such action in regard thereto as may be deemed necessary. Hereof fall not but make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon before said time. James Hill, Town Clerk At a legal meeting of the qualified voters of the Town of Beverly held (in pursuance of the warrant recorded on the next preceding page) at the Town Hall on Monday the Seventh day of April in the year Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Two at one o'clock, afternoon. The meeting was called to order by the Clerk, at the time appointed, who read the warrant therefore, and it was Voted. that a Moderator be chosen by hand vote, and Hon. John I. Baker was thus chosen Moderator. Voted, that a Committee of three persons be nominated by the Chair, to take the whole subject into consideration and report thereon at the next annual March meeting. Voted, that Joseph E. Ober, Robert S. Foster, and Samuel Porter be that Committee. Voted. that this meeting be dissolved, and it was so declared by the Moderator. A true record, Attest.
