1861-11-19 Perambulation Manchester mid Beverly.
We the subscribers, Selectmen of Manchester and Beverly, having met the 19th day of November
1861 for the purpose of perambulating and renewing the bounds and renewing the bounds between
said towns, having attended to that service make the following Report, viz.:- Beginning at the mouth
of Chubbs Creek, and running through the middle of said Creek, to a stone post marked M. B. on
the north side of the New Bridge thence North 50° west, 15 rods to a stone post marked M. B.;
thence N 29° west 25 poles to a stone post marked M. B.; on Benjn. and Samuel Forster's land;
thence on the same course eighty poles to a stone post on Isaac Preston's land; thence on the same
course eighty poles to a stone post marked M. B.; thence one hundred and twenty poles to a stone
post marked M. B. on Nathan Preston's land; thence N 22° 30' west 80 poles to a stone post set in
the ground marked M. B. W. and is the corner bounds, being the same bounds as agreed on by the
Committee in the year 1739, as per return.
