1858-04-05 Commonwealth of Massachusetts Essex, ss. To one of the Constables of the town of Beverly. Greeting. You are here required in the name of said Commonwealth to notify and warn the qualified voters of said town (in the ususal manner) to meet at the Town Hall on Monday fifth day of April next, at One o'clock afternoon, for the following purposes, viz.: 1st. To decide the manner of choosing a Moderator, and to choose the same. 2nd. To see if the town will cause the boundaries of Washington School District to be run out and established, or such alteration made therein as they may judge expedient.- per petition of Aaron Dodge and others. 3rd. To see if the town will authorize the sale of a piece of land, situated in the town of Danvers, formerly used for a gravel pit, or do anything respecting the same they may think proper. Hereof fail not, but make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon before said time. Given under our hands and seal this twenty fifth day of March in the year 1858. Wm. H. James Hill, Town Clerk At a legal meeting of the qualified voters of the town of Beverly, held, in pursuance of the warrant recorded on the next preceding page, at the Town Hall on Monday the fifth day of April of the year 1858, at One o'clock afternoon. Voted. That a Moderator be chosen by hand vote and William H. Lovett was thus chosen. Upon the 2nd Article of the warrant. Voted. That the Selectmen be authorized to run out the Southerly boundary line of Washington District, as the same was established in 1825, and to notify said District, and also the Grammar District of the location of said line. Upon the 3rd Article of the warrant. Voted. That the Town Treasurer is hereby authorized, to sell, convey, and execute deeds in behalf of the town of a piece of land situated in Danvers near the house of Benjn. Foster now belonging to the town of Beverly, and formerly used as a gravel pit. The Meeting was then dissolved. Attest. James Hill, Town Clerk
