1891-11-23 Commonwealth of Massachusetts Essex, ss. To either of the Constables of the town of Beverly in said County, Greeting: You arc hereby requested in the name of said Commonwealth to notify and warn in thc manner prescribed by the regulations of the town, the qualified voters of said Town to meet at the Town Hall in said Beverly, on Monday the twenty-third day of November current, at thirty minutes past seven o'clock afternoon, for the following purposes, viz.; 1 st. To choose a Moderator. 2nd. To see if the town will authorize the water board to lay a twelve inch water pipe from Rantoul Street through Federal Street to Park Street, thence through Park Street to Pleasant Street, thence through ?leasant Street to Rantoul Street, and to make the necessary connections with the Rantoul Street water main pipe. 3rd. To see if the town will authorize the water board to lay a twelve inch water main pipe from the force main pipe through Dodge Street to Cabot Street. Each of the foregoing having been petitioned for by Myron Woodbury and others. Hereof fail not, but make due return of this warrant with the doings thereon before the time of holding said meeting. Pursuant to the foregoing warrant I have notified the persons therein named as therein directed, by posting notifications stating the time, place, and objects of said meeting at each of the several places in town required by the Town Regulations. At a legal meeting of the qualified voters of the town of Beverly held, in pursuance of the warrant recorded on the next preceding page, at the Town Hall in said Town on Monday the twenty- third day of November, in the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, at thirty minutes past seven o'clock afternoon, the Meeting having been called to order at the time appointed by the Town Clerk who read the warrant therefore, it was Voted that the Moderator be chosen by open nomination and hand vote. It was Voted that Freeborn W. Cressy be Moderator. Upon Article 2. Water Pipe, Park Street and vicinity. Upon motion of Robert R. Endicott it was Voted that the prayer of the petitioners be granted. Upon Article 3. Water Pipe, Dodge Street. Upon motion of Edward F. Danforth it was Voted that the prayer of the petitioners be granted. Upon motion of Robert R. Endicott it was Voted, unanimously, that in order to provide for the expenditures voted at this meeting, the Treasurer be authorized, with the approval of the Selectmen, to hire such sums of money as may be necessary and to issue notes of the town therefore.
