1883-11-21 Notice of Bond Sale November 21, 1883
To the Selectmen of the Town of Beverly
I have the occasion to issue twelve (12) bonds of one thousand dollars each, under
the Act of the Legislature for the year 1881, for the purpose of selling the same at their market value
and applying the proceeds to the payment of the following notes, viz.;
$5000, dated November 23, 1868 State of Massachusetts, due Nov. 23, 1883
$6000, dated January 2, 1880, Jonathan King due Jany. 2, 1884
And I hereby request you to countersign for the purpose aforesaid twelve (12) bonds Each
in the sum of one thousand dollars.
