1883-09-11 Notice of Bond Sale September 11, 1883
To the Selectmen of the Town of Beverly.
I have occasion to issue twenty-five (25) bonds of one thousand dollars each, under
the Act of the Legislature for the year 1881, for the purpose of selling the same at their market value
and applying the proceeds to the payment of the following note, viz.;
$25,000 dated Sept. 11, 1873, New England Mutual Life Ins. Co. due 11/14 Sept 1883.
and I hereby request you to countersign for the purpose aforesaid twenty-five (25) bonds each
in the sum of one thousand dollars.
