To the Selectmen of the
Town of Beverly
I have occasion to issue Sixty three (63) bonds of One thousand
dollars each, under the Act of the Legislature for the year 1881, for the purpose of selling the same
at their market value and applying the proceeds to the payment of the following notes, viz.:
$15,000 dated May 6, 1873 Sal. Five Cts. Sav. Bank, due May 6, 1883
15,000 dated May 9, 1873 do due May 9, 1883
1,200 dated May 10, 1873 Thos. Henderson,
1,000 dated May 10, 1873 Joshua Cleaves,
1,000 dated May 21, 1873 do

dueMay 21, 1883
6,500 dated July 1, 1878 Danl. Butler, due July 1, 1883
25,000 dated July 6, 1871 New Eng. Mu. L. Ins. Co. due July 6, 1883
And I hereby request you to countersign for the purpose aforesaid Sixty-three (63) bonds each
in the sum of one thousand dollars.-
