1880-11-02 ElectionCommonwealth of Massachusetts Essex, ss. To either of the Constables of the Town of Beverly in said County. Greeting. In the name of said Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby required to notify and warn, in the manner prescribed by the regulations of the town, the inhabitants of the town of Beverly, qualified to vote in elections, to meet at the Town Hall, in said town on Tuesday the second day of November next at eight o'clock in the forenoon to bring in their votes for. Electors of President and Vice President of the United States, a Representative in the Forty seventh Congress of the United States for District Number Six, a Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Councillor for District Number Five, Secretary, Treasurer and Receiver General, Auditor, and Attorney General of the Commonwealth, a Sheriff, a County Commissioner, Two Special Commissioners, and three Commissioners of Insolvency for the County of Essex, a District Attorney for the Eastern District, a Senator for the Third Senatorial District, and one Representative to the General Court for the Fifth Representative District of the County of Essex. The votes for all the above mentioned officers will be received on one piece of paper, and the polls will be closed at four o'clock in the aftemoon unless otherwise ordered by the meeting. Hereof fail not, but make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon before the time appointed for said meeting.
