3:1:16 89-90 reckoned with Constable Edmund Gale for town rate made with reference to
a bell 3: 11mo.: 1686: and we find him indebted to the town ye just some of thirty seven shillings: and
three pence in money01-17-03
secondly s to ye minister’s rate having reference to the same year 1686 amounting to:
34:19: 09 of which said Gale have brought in an account
paid to Mr. Hale 26lb-01-04 and he remains in ye town’s debt ye just some of money:

bearing the date 23 of October 1688: whereof Mr. Roger Haskins acknowledges he

Reckoned with Capt. William Raymond this 3: March 1689/90 and we allowed with
agreement made that is to say18s per week to the whole sum amounting to in money 09-18-00 for
which the town of Beverly is in his debt for being deputy at ye General Court held that Boston in year
1689 for which we have given an order to Constable William Elliott 3 March 1689/9 to pay unto said
Raymond 04-08-00 which is the one half of the town debt the next abovesaid of 19-00 was paid by
Constable William Elliott unto ye abovesaid Raymond as will appear by said Raymond’s receipt.
3 March 1689/90 then reckoned of Constable William Elliott 03-06-00 in money part of the
town rate committed to him in the year 1689 more since by Mr. Roger Haskins 00-01-09.
3 March 16 89/90 Constable Elliott paid in of ye part: of set by order of Selectmen by several
