1690-03-28[Selectmen March 28, 1690]
At a meeting of the Selectmen on the eight day of April: 1690: there were chosen & appointed
by said Selectmen William Dodge Lt.: Dodge’s son (alias maltster Dodge’s son) and John Grover Jr.
as and surveyors of our fences in our Town of Beverly for the year ensuing and especially the General
fields fence belonging to our said Town & to see that said fence be set up and sufficiently repaired
by the fifteenth day of this instant April and to be kept up & in good repair unto the fifteenth day of
October next ensuing on the tenth day of said month said Selectmen choose & appointed Hasadiah
Smith, a surveyor of said fences & Copartner with the above said John Grover and Will. Dodge in
said work.
