1689-07-12[Selectmen July 12, 1689] 12: July 1689: At a meeting of the Selectmen at the house of William Dodge, maltster and there given forth a warrant to Constable William Elliott to warn the widow Wood not to entertain the French family which is contrary to law, both town and country: also a caution given to parents and masters of families to take special care of their children and servants that they do not profane the Sabbath upon the Lord’s day.
