At a meeting of the Selectmen the 29 of October 1686 and then reckoned with Sergeant
Peter Woodberry and said Woodberry brought in an account of work which he had done for the town
about the new meeting house and nine shillings paid to Thomas Gage and ten shillings allowed him
as lost by John Conant sen. the whole amounting to one pound the and thirteen shillings which does
acquit the said Woodbury of a debt due from him to the town of thirty-three shillings entered in the

old book the said entering bearing date July the 29 1679.
At the same meeting of the Selectmen then reckoned with Deputy Thomas West for six
week’s service for the town at the General Court at Boston:
there is due to said Deputy4£: 10s.: 0d
of money of which there is paid3£: 11s.: 3d
that is to say 1£: 05s. by Constable Edward Dodge and 17: and nine
pence by his own rate: and1£-00-06
by Constable David Perkins: as appears by the book page the first
and eight shillings received of John Hill: and the rest due to said
Deputy is-19-09-00 in money
At the same meeting paid to Capt. William Raymond for his Deputyship at the General Court
held at Boston May 1686: paid to him by Left. John Dodge out of ye rate in money 00-08-06.
At the same meeting of the Selectmen Sergeant Hill gave account of money disbursed for the
town’s use to wit eight shillings to Thomas West as abovesaid and one shilling for paper and seven
shillings and nine pence to Roger Hill for iron and helping to hang the meeting house bell: for which
the town is in debt to the said Hill sixteen shillings and nine pence.

by discounting pay rate [illegible]. At the same meeting of the Selectmen the 29 October 1686
Sergeant Hill brought an account of seven shillings which he disbursed for the town four shillings is
for 2 fir cans to hold the town’s powder and bullets and 2s. for a caller for the old bell for which the
town remains in debt to said Hill. 00-079-00d.
At the same meeting of the Selectmen Lieutenant John Dodge brought in an account of four
hundred foot of plank for the town’s use to repair the country Highway on 2 bridges by maltster
Dodge, his rell for which the town is in debt to the said Dodge 02£-00s-00d and six shillings more
in money due to the said Dodge upon the account of his service of Deputy at the General Court
formally the whole being 02-06-00.
At the same meeting John Salos sen. brought account of 3 in money: and a day’s work done
about ye new meeting house in pay 00-05-00.
