At a meeting of the Selectmen the 21 of the 2 mo. 1686. The committee then made a return
of the laying out of the land which was granted by the town to Joseph Eaton which bounds of said
land are as followeth: viz on the easterly side of said land is bounded with the land formerly the said
Eaton’s and on the southerly side is bounded with the highway to a stake standing near the western
end of the dam said Eaton made and from said stake to a white oak being the bounds of said Eaton’s
land formerly.
