At a meeting of the Selectmen the 16 of the 10:1682. Received of Constable Joseph Dodge
of the meeting house rate money eighty-six pouinds nineteen shillings (86£ 19s.) And of Constable
Jonathan Boyles of his part of the same rate seventy-two pounds sixteen shillings (72£ 16s.)
More received of Joseph Dodge twenty-four shillings and six pence – 1£ – 4s. – 6d.
Received of the committee or agents for the town of Beverly for building the meeting house
and selectmen of said town the sum of one hundred sixty-three pounds eighteen shillings which
together with one hundred seventy-nine pound received upon the same account July the fifth 1682
is in full satisfaction for the building and completing of the new meeting house in Beverly except for
the glass and the joiner’s work of the pulpit which is to the glazer 13 £ – 15s & to the joiner 8 £ –
