At a meeting of the Selectmen the first of April 1682 a half rate made for the country
amounting unto nine pounds six shillings & seven pence whereof is to be paid to the country treasurer
7 £.: 14s. Constable Boyles his part of said rate – 5 £: 2s.: 5d., Constable Joseph Dodge’s part is –
4 £: 6s.: 2d.
