1684-12-15[Selectmen December 15, 1684] The 15 of the 10 mo. 1684. At a meeting of the selectmen of Beverly there was a Town Rate made amounting to the sum of fifty-one pounds six shillings and four pence on part amounting to twenty-seven pounds fifteen shillings eight pence was committed to William Livermore Constable the other part amounting to twenty-three pounds ten shillings & eight pence committed to Edward Dodge Constable. At the same meeting of the selectmen there was allowed for work done about the highways in the years’83 and ‘84 the sum of sixteen pounds six shillings & five pence out of the abovesaid rate five shillings which was not minded.
