1683-10-30[Selectmen October 30, 1683] th At a meeting of the Selectmen October the 30 of 1683 then reckoned with William Dodge jun. for all rates committed to him when he was Constable and for the 19 bushels of barley he received of Sampson on the towns account, and accounts respecting those matters are balanced and clear. th At a meeting of the Selectmen the 30 of October 1683 then reckoned with Samuel Corning jun. for all rates committed to him while Constable except the rate for Mr. Hale’s maintenance and accounts between the town and him for said rates are even. th At a meeting of the Selectmen the 30 October 1683 then reckoned with Jonathan Boyles for the country and County rates committed to him when he was Constable and he remains in the town’s debt for over plus of said rates fifteen shillings whereof eight in money. th 30 of the 8:1684 [sic] : then received of the above said Boyles four shillings and six pence in money in part of the abovesaid 8 £ by Sergeant J. Hill as one of the Selectmen. th At a meeting of the Selectmen the 30 October 1683 reckoned with Constable Boyles concerning the rate committed to him made for building the meeting house and have together with seven pound eight shillings at present reckoned lost by Humphrey Woodbury jun., John Palmer, John Weeden, John Goodale, Samuel Harris and Mordechai Larcom jun. their rates made payment of the whole within four pounds five shillings eight pence for which he remains in debt. 4 £: 5s.: 8d.
