At a meeting of the Selectmen the 20: 8: 1681 it was ordered that a town meeting should be
warned by the constables to consider of the building a new meeting house and choosing Selectmen:

the 7 of November next: and also that Constable Ephraim Herrick warn William Bath not to
entertain Sarah Lambert any longer than the 3 of November next: and there were warrants given out
for the effecting the premises.
