1680-03-18[Selectmen March 18, 1680] Ye 18 1 mo. 1680. At a meeting of the Selectmen it was ordered that all swine belonging to our town from two months old and upward be sufficiently yoked by the tenth of April and so kept until the middle of October ensuing and who ever shall neglect anything contained in this order shall pay one shilling a day for every swine not yoked and it is also agreed by ye selectmen that Thomas Patch for this present year shall execute ye above said order about swine. At ye same meeting John Lovett and John Giles were chosen way wardens for this year ensuing the 18:1 mo. 1679-80. th At a meeting of the Selectmen the 18 1 mo. 1679. The ten pounds allowed by the Country for the Charges about John Long was ordered to be paid by Constable Bradford and Constable Woodberry by equal proportion viz. Each to pay five pounds as followeth viz. The allowances order Constable Bradford to make particular persons being 1 £: 13 s.: 6 d. There remains due to the town from said Bradford 3:6:6. And the allowances ordered Constable Woodberry to make to particular persons being 2 £: 16: 0. There remains due to the town from said Woodbury on that account 2 £: 4 s.: 0. Reserved of John Sampson two pound nineteen shillings in malt as his part of a Country rate for the year ‘78 reserved by me this 5of 12 1679. Henry Skerry, Marshall.
