1678-10-04[Selectmen October 4,1678] th At a meeting of the selectmen 4 8 mo. 1678. Reckoned with Mr. Hardy respecting his teaching school year past and there is due to him from the town besides the income by the scholars and the three pounds ordered him by Constable Samuel Balch, five pounds fourteen shillings. £5 14s. At the same selectmen’s meeting the 4: 8 mo. 78 Mr. John Dodge Sen. & Corporal William Rayment were chosen to manage the town’s business at the General Court referring to the matters in debate between Salem and us about our town bounds and likewise to answer to the petition of Wenham.
