1678-03-15[Selectmen March 15,1678] th At a meeting of the selectmen the 15 of March 1677 it was ordered by the said selectmen that all swine belonging to our town of two-month old and upwards shall be sufficiently yoked by the tenth of April next and shall be kept yoked till the sixteenth of October next in defect whereof everyone shall forfeit for everyone of his swine being defective, contrary to this order, 12d. per day for every day’s deficiency, John Lovett is appointed and empowered to see this ordered duly executed and is to take the forfeiture for his pains. At the same meeting March 15,77/8 David Perkins and Robert Colburn are appointed Surveyors of Fences for this year to see that all fences coming under the charge of Surveyors be sufficiently made up and kept in repair according to law and it is ordered that the general field fencen th shall be sufficiently made up by the 9 of April next. At the same meeting of the selectmen March 15, 77 Nathaniel Conant & Joseph Lovett are chosen Surveyors of Highways for this year ensuing.
