At a meeting of the Selectmen the 19 of September 1671 it was agreed with John Raiment
sen. & Osmond Trask to provide Mr. Hale 30 cord of wood, corded up in his yard for which they are
to have 6S. Out of the rate for Mr. Hale’s maintenance & fire wood 1671 & if 30 cord be not
sufficient for the year they are to bring enough to complete the year at the same rate & are to be paid
for the remainder above 30 cord out of the next rate & the year is to begin in November first 1671.
