1674-12-29th At a meeting of the Selectmen the 29 of December 1674 it was agreed between the said selectmen & John Rayment sen. that the said Rayment shall have Joshua Furland for a year as formerly both with respect to the allowance the town gave then with him and to the condition he is to return him but in case that the said Furland run away from his master then he is to be sent to the house of correction & the said John Rayment is to have from the town after the rate of forty shillings a year for the time he is with him. th At the same meeting of the selectmen on the 29 December 1674 there was a town rate by the selectmen amounting to£45 13S. 8D.
