At a meeting of the Selectmen March 25 1784 they agreed and ordered that a town meeting should

be warned and held on Monday the 5 day of April next at two o’clock afternoon at the stated place
for holding town meetings in said town to choose a Governor, Lieut. Governor and persons to be
Senators and Councilors agreeable to the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and
a was a warrant issued out to Constable Theophilus Herrick to warn the same accordingly. Attest

place for holding town meetings in said town
1ly. To see if the town will choose William Herrick Jr. to serve in the office of Constable in the room
of Mr. Andrew Cabot he refusing in person to serve in that office.
2ly. To choose a Selectmen and a person for the Ferry District in the room of Mr. Thomas
Woodberry by reason of his nonacceptance to serve in said office. Also to choose any town officers

in the room of those choices at their meeting on the 8 instant that refuse to serve.
3ly. To choose some person as their agent with full power to prosecute to final [illegible] the law for
their fines. All such persons as have or shall be chosen to serve in any town office the current year
and refuse to serve in said town office.
4ly. To see if the town will empower some person or persons to sell and give a good and lawful deed
of the town interests which they bought off Susanna Ellinwood [illegible] she had in the estate of
David Ellinwood, deceased.
5ly. To see if the town will do anything further relative to satisfying of the execution that Capt.
Eleazer Giles hath out against the town by empowering the Treasurer to hirer money for that purpose
or by giving their Treasurer or Constable such instructions relative to out standing taxes & as they
in their wisdom shall think best and there was a warrant issued out to Constable Theophilus Herrick
