Dear Honorable Council:
RE: Request for Stop Sign, Milton St.
We have been asked to look into the possibility of placing a STOP sign on Milton Street at
Cabot Street. We have investigated this location and determined a STOP sign meets the
warrants and should be placed at this location, and would make the area safer for motorists
and pedestrians.
In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 89, Section 9, of the Massachusetts General
Laws, and Chapter 14, Section 98 of the Revised Ordinance of the City of Beverly, we
request the following stop sign;
ADD: Milton Street, eastbound drivers on Milton Street at Cabot St.

Dear Honorable Council:
RE: Parking on Wilkins Terrace
I have been asked to look into the current parking on Wilkins Terrace with the thought of
allowing parking on the outer, left hand sides of Wilkins Terrace and restricting parking on
the inner, island sides of Wilkins Terrace. I believe this proposed parking arrangement will
be better for that street.
Please take the necessary action to amend City of Beverly Revised Ordinances Chapter 14,
Section 120 as follows:
DELETE: Wilkins Terrace, northerly side, from 129 Dodge St. to easterly side
DELETE: Wilkins Terrace, southerly side, from easterly side to 127 Dodge St.
ADD: Wilkins Terrace, northerly and southerly sides along grass center divider,
entire length

Dear Council:
RE: Parking on Liberty Street
I have met with Mr. Hutt, BHS Athletic Director and we have serious safety concerns about
the parking on lower Liberty, St., by the rear entrance into Hurd Stadium. Construction is
under way on the new concession stand and the ambulance and other emergency vehicles
will need access into this rear gate. Larger vehicles will not be able to use this rear gate if
we don't restrict parking on one side of Liberty Street. opposite the houses.
Please take the necessary action to amend City of Beverly Revised Ordinances, Chapter 14,
Section 137, as follows:
163
ADD: Liberty Street, northwesterly side, from Newbury Street to the end of Liberty Street.
Very truly yours,

Dear Councilors,
RE: Parking on Lower Abbott St., from Lothrop St., to the water
I have met with Mrs, Frances Alexander and talked to Councilor Rollins about allowing
parking on lower Abbott Street, from Lothrop Street to the end of the street, during certain
hours, and restricting the parking during the night hours, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. This parking
scheme would coincide with the parking restrictions that currently exist on Lothrop Street,
from Dane Street to Hale St.
Please take the necessary action to amend City of Beverly Revised Ordinances, Chapter 14,
Section 120, as follows:
DELETE: Chapter 14, Section 120: Abbott St, both sides, from Lothrop Street to the end.
ADD: Chapter 14, Section 122 (x): No person shall park a vehicle between the hours of
10:00 PM and 6:00 AM on Abbott Street, from Lothrop easterly to the end.
Very truly yours,
Dennis O. Tarsook
