At a meeting of the Selectmen Jan. 71783.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay wid. Eleanor Lovett£ 0.16.8 abatement of her late husband’s
poll, taxed through mistake.
Ordered the Treasure to pay the wife of Daniel Woodberry for keeping of Susanna
Ellinwood’s child three months expiring this day.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Mr. Nathan Dane four pound three shillings 33/ of it for
abatement of his taxes in 1782 for Bartlett’s house, he not being liable to pay the same at that time
and 50/ for advice given deed and power and attendance in cause of Susanna Ellinwood and Eliza
Evans and Ayers etc.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay William Butman £ 11.14.0 in 3 orders in full for keeping and
nursing of John Martin three months expiring this day.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Josiah Morgan 8/ for keeping of Mary Woodberry one week.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Jonathan Creesy Surveyor of the Highways for extra charge
£2.9.0 in two orders.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay John Thissell, Constable 13/ for abatement of Benja. Corning’s
tax in his list, died abroad.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Retire Trask twenty-nine pound two shillings £ 28 pound ten
shillings of said sum for extra charge in labor done on the Highways as Surveyor the year past 6/ for
hauling a load of wood from the ferry to Doctor Woodberry’s house when Wm. Lovett had the small
pox there and 6/ for some wood he let William Hales have in his last sickness.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Joseph Wood 80/ for keeping of Mary Woodberry ten weeks
