1783-11-04th A meeting of the Selectmen Novbr. 4 1783. Ordered the Treasurer to pay the wife of William Morgan 36/ abatement of part of their taxes for 1782 on account of his distraction. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Jeffery Thissell eleven pound two shillings and nine pence in full for keeping and maintaining John Brew at his house and nursing and sickness and for a coffin for him and for time and trouble and assistance at his funeral and burial as per his account on file. Ordered the Treasury to pay the wife of Daniel Woodberry 39/ for keeping of Lydia th Ellinwood three months expiring on the 7 of Octr. last. The ordered the Treasurer to pay Mr. Jacob Herrick twelve pound fourteen shillings and for pence for keeping Grammar School in this Town in two orders. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Francis Smith fifteen shillings for a coffin for the body of Deborah Roundy deceased. Ordered the Treasurer to pay John Polen 36/ for keeping James May 6 months expiring on the 7 Octr. last. Ordered the Treasurer to pay William Langdell 6/ being over taxed that sum in 1782 by mistake.
