At a meeting of the Selectmen August 13 1783.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Benjamin Obear forty-four shillings and six pence, it being for
abatement in his list as followeth.
0.5.3 abatement of Freeborn Grove’s tax, lost at sea.
0.5.0 for John Webster acts, being taken.
1.5.1 for Sipeo son of Cato tax, in captivity.
0.9.2 for William Atkins tax, absconded.

taken.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay wid. Martha Abbott 44/3 abatement of her sons’ poll taxes, they
being taken by the enemy in 1781.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Jackson West 16/2, very poor.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Osman Trask 2d 30/ abatement of his tax in 1783, being very
poor.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Nathaniel Wallis 10/8 abatement of his taxes in 1781, poor.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay wid. Hannah Foster 34/3 abatement of her son’s poll tax, being
taken by the enemy.
