At a meeting of the Selectmen August 131783.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Benjamin Obear three pounds twelve shillings and six pants, it
being for abatement in his list as followeth bids.
1.6.5 abatement of Freegrove’s tax, loss at sea.
4.7 for ditto of John Webb’s tax, being taken.
17.6 for ditto of Nathaniel Wallis’ tax, old and poor.
1.4.0 for ditto of William Alkin’s tax, absconded.

by the enemy.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Francis Ellis 24/ abatement of his son’s poll tax, being in
captivity.

poll, being in captivity.
