At a meeting of the Selectmen Mar. 22 1782.
They ordered that a Town Meeting be warned and held on Monday the first day of April next
at two o’clock in the afternoon at the stated place for holding Town meetings in said Town to choose
a Governor, Lieut. Governor and persons to be Senators and Councillors agreeable to the
Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and there was a warrant issued out to Constable
