At a meeting of Selectmen June the 24 1782.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Capt. Asa Woodberry £ 6.13.4 for keeping of the District
School near the mouth of the Mill Lane the winter past.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay George Crowninshield 18/ being over taxed that sum by reason
of mistake.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Josiah Batchelder Esq. thirteen pound ten shillings, £ 9.19.10
of said sum for time, horse hire and expenses as one of the Committee appointed to petition to the
General Court to have our taxes abated as per account on file and £ 3.11.2 abatement of part of his
tax the year past on account of his losses by sea.
