At a Meeting of the Selectmen Jany. 2 1781.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay William Elliott 2d nine pound being over taxed that sum in
1780.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Benjamin Obear, Surveyor £ 72 for labor and extra charge on
the Highways in 1780.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Benja. Pickett seventy-five pound for to procure wood he being
extreme poor.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Benjamin Leech seventeen pound abatement of his son’s poll
in the first Beef Tax 1780, he being in captivity.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Lieut. Samuel Cole one of the Committee for Procuring Militia
for the Town the sum of four hundred and thirteen pound.
Ordered the Treasured pay William Butman eighty-six pound two shillings£ 65.2.0 of said
sum for labor and extra charge on the Highway as Surveyor and £ 21 for clothing for John Martin.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Benjamin Lovett Jr. one hundred and thirty pound nine shillings
in full of his account for labor and extra charge as Surveyor on the Highways.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Capt. Joshua Cleaves seventeen pounds for abatement of a poll
tax in the Beef Tax, more than he had .
