1781-03-12th At a meeting of Selectmen March 121781. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Josiah Woodberry forty pounds of the Town’s money for ringing the bell and sweeping the meeting house in the year 1780. Ordered the Treasurer pay Joseph Wood three hundred and sixty-eight pounds for his account as followeth. 57.0.0 for 3 days and part day settling Town’s accounts. 12.0.0 for 1 quire of paper for the Town’s use. 9.0.0 for one pound cotton wool found for Mary Woodberry’s gown etc.. 320. for his fee as Town Clerk in 1780. 398 credit by cash received of William Elliott. 30 Surveyor collected in 1780. £ 24.0.0 £ 368 By cash received of Capt. Leech on account mistake about the beef. 6.0.0 30.0.0 Ordered the Treasurer pay John Lovett 3d seventy or pounds for his account as follows. To horse to Andover to carry beef money 36 To part of four day settling account etc. 38 To our Town Treasurer to pay William Taylor twenty-seven pounds for part of those day settling Town accounts. Ordered the Treasurer to pay a cell Leech 86 pound of the Towns money for the following accounts 27.0.0 1 ½ days to Andover to carry beef money. 20.0.0 for expenses at ditto 39.0.0 for part of three-day settling accounts etc. Ordered the Treasurer pay Dea. William Dodge seventy-eight pounds and sixteen shillings for repairs on the School House including £ 22 he received for the rent of said School House in the year 1780. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Nathan Leech fifty pounds, abatement of part of his tax in 1780 on account of losses. Ordered the Treasurer pay Capt. Livermore Whittridge fifty-three pound of the Town’s money by order of the Selectmen it being for abatement of part of his taxes in 1780 by reason of losses etc. Ordered the Treasurer to pay William Leech thirty pounds being abatement of part of his tax in 1780 on account of losses etc. th At a meeting of the Selectmen March 12 1781.
