1781-02-15th At a Meeting of the Selectmen for Feby. 15 1781. Ordered the Treasurer to pay Lieut. Samuel Cole three hundred pounds, he being one of the Committee for procuring of militia for the Town in 1780. Ordered the Treasurer to pay either of the Committee appointed to procure the soldiers for this Town for three years or during the War the sum of twenty thousand pounds to enable them to perform that service. Ordered the Treasurer to pay the wife of Jonathan Kent forty-five pound, extreme poor. Ordered the Treasurer to pay to either of the Selectmen for to procure the beef sent for from this Town for the year 1781, the sum of thirty thousand pounds in two orders of fifteen thousand each.
