At a meeting of the Selectmen Decbr. 3 1781.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay wid. Hannah Prince £ 3.10.0 hard money in full for keeping of
Susanna Ellinwood’s youngest child fifteen weeks expiring on the last day of November 1781.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Jeffery Thissell five pound eight shillings and eight pence hard
money in full for keeping John Brew 20 weeks expiring on the eighth instant.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Peter Pride £ 0.12.6 hard money for extra charge as Surveyor
on the Highway the current year of Ward No. 2.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay John Polen 8/ hard money in lieu of an order he lost of that sum

given Octr 2 last past.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Henry Herrick Thirty pound four shillings together with the
other orders heretofor received is in full for keeping the Grammar School eight months expiring on

the 18 of December instant to be paid in hard money.

Ordered the Treasurer to pay John Lovett 3 one pound seven shillings hard money for
account supplied Samuel Arbuckle’s wife, a soldier in the Continental Army.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay James Patch £ 2.12.0 for keeping of Miriam Presson’s child six

months expiring on the 7 of October last past.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Benja. Smith £ 2.5.1 in full for extra charge as Surveyor of the
Highways in Ward No. 3 the current year to be paid in hard money.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Jonathan Creesy 27/6 hard money for extra charge and labour
as Surveyor on the Highway in Ward No. 11 current year.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay William Langdell five pound five shillings in full of all account
for keeping and maintaining of Molly Hales to this day and until she shall arrive to the age of 18 years
old.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Nathaniel Clark eleven pound fourteen shillings in full for
