1780-07-17th At a Meeting of the Selectmen July the 171780. th They ordered a Town Meeting should be warned and held on July the 18 at 9 o’clock in the morning at the stated place for holding of Town Meetings in said Town to be verbally warned by the several Constables. 1ly. To see what measures the Town will come into for procuring of five horses for the use of the rd government agreeable to the resolve of the General Court of the 23 day of June last. 2ly. To choose some person to serve as Constable in the room of Elisah Woodberry, refusing to serve. And there was issued out a warrant to Benjn. Obear to warn the Ferry Ward to Jonathan Dodge 2nd to warn Bass River and Royal Side [Ryal Side] Ward and to Constable Weeden Cole to warn Bald Hall Ward and to Robert Standley to warn the Farm Ward accordingly.
