1779-05-22nd At a meeting of the Selectmen May 22 1779. They adjusted accounts with Col. Henry Herrick, Town Treasurer, and the account now stands as followeth viz. By a balance due to the Treasurer on the last adjustment 679-12-7 by orders and accounts this day examined and allowed 5513-13-7 by cash paid Capt. Joseph Rae to procure militia for this Town. 200-0-0 by Capt. Isaac Chapman account allowed for money paid to procuring militia 4610-11-4 by Town Treasurer premiums, etc. 150-11-0 £ 11154-8-6 Foot of debt 8785-10-11 2368-17-7 And there appears to be due to the said Town Treasurer, to balance his account besides the whole account in page 204 the sum of two thousand three hundred sixty-eight pounds seventeen shillings and seven pence.
