2001-08-10City of Beverly, Massachusetts CABLE TV ADVISORY COMMISSION Minutes of August 10,2001 meeting Al Torsey, chairman; Dan Murphy, Amy Siemasko, Robert Lee, Arthur Crandall, George Johnson Meeting of August 10, 2001Beverly Public Library, 8 a.m. Present: Dan Murphy, Al Torsey, Don Berman, Tom Scully, George Johnson, Absent: Amy Siemasko, Robert Lee, Arthur Crandall Also attending: Members reviewed proposed bylaws to be filed with Articles of Organization for the creation of an Access Corporation in accordance with the new license agreement (signed in May of 2001) with AT&T Broadband. Discussion included membership, quorum requirements, term limits, bonding requirements, annual meetings, staffing and general organization. Thomas Scully will finalize the document that will be submitted to the City Solicitor Marshall Handly for filing with the Secretary of State’’s office. Scully reported that the School Department, under the direction of Ron Bouchard, is investigating the condition of the floor in the former machine shop in the Patten Wing at Beverly High School. This 6,000 square foot space is being considered for conversion to an Access studio in conformance with provisions in the license agreement. A clean-up of former oil spills may be required. Murphy reported there is a possibility of programming this fall at the current Tozer Road studio involving coverage of the city election. The Cable TV Advisory Commission will meet next on September 6, 2001.
