At a meeting of the Selectmen July 20 1779.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay to either of the Selectman one hundred fifty pounds in part to
enable them to pay the bounties and mileage to the men going to Rhode Island for this Town

agreeable to resolve of Court of the 8 of June 1779.
Ordered the Treasurer to pay Capt. Isaac Chapman or to either of the Committee appointed
to procure men to go into the Continental Army or to Rhode Island etc. the sum of eight hundred and
forty pounds to enable them to perform that service and to be accountable for the same.
